Today Muslims around the world are celebrating the Islamic festival of Eid al-Fitr. It is a holy festival that celebrates the end of the month of Ramadan and the end of their month-long fast. It is a special time of celebration and prayer for Muslims.

We want to wish all our Muslim families a very happy and blessed Eid ul-Fitur this week!

At school this week, children in Years 1 and 2 have been reflecting on our school value of Service and have been discussing ways in which they could give to others and do good deeds in celebration of Eid. They made Eid decorations for the classroom including  beautiful designed lanterns and 'good deeds' paper chains that would encourage each other to spread kindness and love during this special season.
