RE Day

Posted on: 22/02/2023

Religious Education (RE) is an important part of the curriculum at St Clement Danes Primary School. It provides students with the opportunity to learn about different faiths, reflect on their own beliefs and values, and develop religious literacy. Our school has a unique theologically rooted vision for RE, which is 'Providing an anchor in life, so that all may have life and have it to the full.'

Today we had a whole-school RE day that was based on the theme of "How Does Christianity Connect People and Cultures Around the World?" It was an inspiring and fun day that allowed our students to learn about the unifying aspect of Christianity as a global religion.

The day was designed to provide our students with a unique opportunity to learn about Christianity and how it connects people and cultures from all corners of the world. The different year group questions all related to this overarching theme, giving students the opportunity to explore the teachings, traditions, and impact of Christianity in a child-friendly way.

This morning's Collective Worship was followed by workshops, activities and lessons that were designed to be engaging and interactive. Children across the school were able to participate in a range of activities that brought today's theme to life.
