Sayers Croft Day 2

The children woke up early and enjoyed their breakfast together on their first full day at Sayers Croft. During our busy morning, we split into groups to take part in bouldering and archery. After refining our climbing and aiming skills, we headed to the woods where Year 6 worked with their partners to navigate using a compass.

The children then worked in teams to build ballistas, developing their knot skills and working as a team to aim and fire. After dinner, we had a chance to visit the souvenir shop and we were then able to visit an Anderson Shelter and an Air Raid Shelter. We discussed what life might have been like for the children that evacuated to Sayers Croft in WW2. To finish off our action packed day, we headed on our night walk, using the reflectors along the way to help guide our route.
