Sayers Croft Day 3

Year 6 have had another fantastic day at Sayers Croft. After a hearty breakfast, we prepared for our 5 mile return hike up Pitch Hill. On the way, the children created acorn art, used maps and compasses and learnt new facts about the woods around them. We are so proud of all of the children, who showed great endurance and determination when walking up the hill. They cheered each other on and were rewarded with beautiful views at the top! After a scenic packed lunch, we made our way back down the hill, stopping to make “a house for a mouse” and to find a four leaf clover. After dinner, we headed out to the campfire pit and spent the evening stargazing, singing campfire songs and toasting marshmallows. We have been enjoying the dry weather and sunshine and can’t believe how quickly the week has gone so far!
